(5) Analysis

A. General

(A.1) Background: The background doesn’t offer any information on what 2010 means. He could add something that says that he is a presidential candidate.

(A.2) Avatar: A picture of Sebastian Piñera in which he has a charismatic pose.

(A.4) Transparency: It seems that he is the author of the tweets in the way that they are written, but he does not actually stays that anywhere on his Twitter account.  He could also mentioned that he is a former senator and a business man to increase transparency on his Twitter.
(A.5) Bio Link: Not available on Twitter, but available on his website. Bio is written in sections which can be complicated to get the full picture of his business career.  The reader has to read every section to understand his political and business career.

(B.2) ReTweets: He RT
(B.3) DM requests: He answer and sends DMs.
(B.4) Hashtags:
(B.5) Favorite tweets: He doesn’t have any favorite tweets.  I like the way that he provides information to his followers not only on what he does as a candidate, but also as a person/human.
(B.6) Currently he uses a casual conversation style.

C. Questions/Suggestions
(C.1) He could use a # (hashtag) to track what other are saying about him and inform his followers to increase transparency.

E. Conclusion

In conclusion, Sebastian Piñera uses social media tools to enhance his candidacy.  This presidential election will be his second election. The last one was in 2005 and he lost it to Michelle Bachellet the first female president in Chile and in the American continent. Piñera represents a change. If he wins, this change will mean a change of a political party to win the presidency in two decades, and to the fact the other official candidate, Eduardo Frei has been a president already.  Weather this is the change that Chilean people need is another questions, but the truth is that Sebastian Piñera is gaining territory among the social media venue and Twitter could play an important key for his triumph.
