(5) Analysis

A. General – A-
(A.1) Background – Standard Twitter background.  Nothing offensive, but I think he is missing an opportunity.  B+
(A.2) Avatar – A nice shot of him, but is a little too far back.  It’s a little hard to make out his face.  I would opt for a closer shot.  B+
(A.3) Bio – Concise and clear about what position he serves.  I think there is a good opportunity for a call to action that he misses.  A-
(A.4) Transparency – The conversational tone and subject matter of the Tweets coupled with the large amount of @ replies make it clear he is the one Tweeting.  A
(A.5) Bio Link – The link goes to his campaign site, which is good for helping him get elected, but I think it would be a little more professional to link to his official government site.  A-

B. Tweets – A
(B.1) Replies – 46/100
(B.2) ReTweets – 0/100
(B.3) DM requests – 0
(B.4) Hashtags -45
(B.5) (favorite tweets?) 0
(B.6) Narrative summary – Dana uses a large amount of @ replies to directly talk to users, which is fantastic.  He also does a good job of using hashtags to help drive conversations.  He doesn’t really use RT, but the amount of conversation he is having is quite impressive.

C. Questions/Suggestions
(C.1) My one question would be why he doesn’t use RTs.  Does he not find them useful?
(C.2) Suggestions for improvement – My one suggestion would be to Rt from time to time.

D. Analytic Services (to come next week)

E. Conclusion
(E.1) Narrative – While Dana’s general profile may not be as steller as some other politicians, his use of Twitter is very impressive.  He clearly “gets it.”  Two thumbs up.
(E.2) Scorecard Summary

  • General – A-
  • Tweets – A
  • Overall- A
